Day 1 — Baghdad

Arrive in Baghdad and begin your journey through the capital. Visit Sheikh Al-Jilani Mosque, explore the old and new souks and bazaars, and discover the collections of the National Museum. Continue to the Martyrs Monument, cross Martyr Bridge, and visit Al-Mutanabbi Street. Dinner and overnight in Baghdad.

Day 2 — Baghdad to Nasiriyah

After breakfast, depart Baghdad and travel south to Nasiriyah, approximately 345 km. Visit the ancient city of Ur, one of Iraq’s most important archaeological sites. Dinner and overnight in Nasiriyah.

Day 3 — Nasiriyah to Najaf

Travel from Nasiriyah to the holy city of Najaf, approximately 250 km. Visit the magnificent Imam Ali Mosque and experience the atmosphere of one of Iraq’s most important religious and cultural cities. Dinner and overnight in Najaf.

Day 4 — Najaf to Babylon to Baghdad

Depart Najaf and travel towards Baghdad, stopping at the ancient city of Babylon, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Explore the remains of Babylon, including the Summer Palace/East Palace associated with Nebuchadnezzar II and the former Saddam Palace overlooking the archaeological site. After lunch, continue to Baghdad. Dinner and overnight in Baghdad.

Day 5 — Departure

Enjoy breakfast at the hotel before your airport transfer. Your Tigris Travels journey through Iraq comes to an end.
